Meet Mount Nittany Health Foundation development officer, Karah Hodges

​

Karah Hodges, development officer, Mount Nittany Health Foundation, is a Bellefonte native who graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor's degree in Health Policy and Administration degree and is pursuing a master's degree in Healthcare Administration from Grantham University.

 

Karah began her career as a Mount Nittany Health intern but jumped at the chance to work full-time for the organization as a revenue cycle reimbursement analyst.

 

"As an intern, I witnessed the passion and dedication of employees at all levels of the organization to provide quality and compassionate care," shares Hodges. "I wanted to be a part of that—to work someplace where I was making a difference in the community I love."

In 2020, just before the pandemic hit, Karah joined the Mount Nittany Health Foundation team as a development officer. For the last year, with COVID safety regulations in place, Karah has worked from home but is looking forward to returning to the office to build relationships with donors and community members to advance Mount Nittany Health's mission to make people healthier.

​

Karah is a baton twirling coach in her free time, an outgrowth of her time as a proud "Touch of Blue" Penn State Majorette in the Blue Band. She and her husband dote on their beloved Pomeranian named Bear and are looking forward to settling into their new home.
